Mom's Applie Pie Jerk Dust Recipes

1. Apple Pie a la Mode Parfaits

Ingredients

4 1/2 cups Apple chopped and peeled
1/2 cup
Sugar
1 tablespoon
Lemon juice
1 Packet of Mom's Apple Pie Jerk Dust
3 cups Oatmeal cookie crumbs 4 oz
3 cups Low-fat
vanilla ice cream softened

Instructions

  1. Combine the first 4 ingredients in a medium saucepan, and bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes. Uncover; simmer 5 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally. Spoon into a bowl; cover and chill.

  2. Spoon 1 tablespoon cookie crumbs into each of 8 (8 ounce) glasses, top each with 1/4 cup apple mixture and 3 tablespoons ice cream. Repeat the layers once; ending with ice cream. Serve immediately.

2. Chef Adams Simple No Fail Apple Pie

Ingredients

FOR THE CRUST
2 Pie crusts [10" unbaked]

FOR THE FILLING
1 1/4 c
Sugar
1/2 c
Flour
1/2 packet Mom's Apple Pie Jerk Dust

12 md McIntosh
apples [peeled Cored & finely sliced]
2 tb
Butter

 
FOR THE TOPPING
1 tb
Butter
½ packet Jerk Nation Mom's Apple Pie Jerk Dust

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees.

  2. Combine the sugar, flour, and the Mom's Apple Pie Jerk Dust in a small bowl and mix well, then add the sliced apples, tossing to coat all of the slices.

  3. Spoon the filling into the bottom pie crust in a deep dish pie pan, with the deepest part in the middle. Pat the 2 tb of butter and arrange them on top of the apples. Moisten the edges of the bottom crust with water and put the top crust on sealing the edges. put strips of aluminum foil around the edges of the pie to prevent scoarching.

  4. Combine the 1 tb butter [melted] and the Mom's Apple Pie Jerk Dust and brush the top of the crust, bake @ 425 for 15 min. then reduce heat to 400 and bake for 40 min.

  5. Let stand to desired serving temp. and serve with french vanilla ice cream topped with a sprinkle of cinnamon.

 

3. Honey-Apple Pancakes

Ingredients

1 1/4 c All-purpose flour
2 ts
Baking powder
1/4 ts
Salt
1/2  packet  Mom's Apple Pie Jerk Dust
1/8 ts
Baking soda
1
Egg
3/4 c
Apple juice
2 tb
Honey
1 tb
Cooking oil

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, stir flour, baking powder, salt, Mom's Apple Pie Jerk Dust, and baking soda.

  2. In a small mixing bowl, beat egg slightly; stir in apple juice, honey, and oil. Add egg mixture all at once to flour mixture; stir until blended but still slightly lumpy.

  3. FOR EACH PANCAKE: Onto a hot, lightly greased griddle or skillet, pour about 1/4 cup batter. Cook 2 to 3 minutes or until pancakes have a bubbly surface and slightly dry edges. Turn and cook 2 to 3 minutes more or until golden brown. Makes 8, 4-inch pancakes.

4. Quick and Creamy Applesauce Dessert

Ingredients

1/2 c Applesauce; unsweetened
1/2 c Nonfat
yogurt
1/2 ts
Vanilla extract
1/2
packet Mom's Apple Pie Jerk Dust
2 ts
Sugar

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Mix thoroughly. Serve right away or chill for later serving. Also to reduce the calories you can use a sugar substitute to equal the sugar.

5.  Quick-n-easy Sticky Rolls

Ingredients

2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar  
1/4 cup Carys Sugar Free
Maple Syrup
1/2
packet of Mom's Apple Pie Jerk Dust
3 Tablespoons chopped
pecans -- 3/4 ounce
1/4 cup
raisins
1 can Pillsbury refrigerated
buttermilk biscuits -- (7.5 ounce)

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 350. Spray a 9-inch pie plate with butter-flavored cooking spray. In prepared pie plate, combine Maple Syrup, Brown Sugar Twin and Mom's Apple Pie Jerk Dust. Stir in pecans and raisins. Separate biscuits and cut each biscuits into 4 pieces. Drop biscuit pieces evenly over syrup mixture. Lightly spray top of biscuits with butter-flavored cooking spray. Bake for 12 15 minutes or until golden brown. Cut into 6 wedges. Serve hot.
